LHS harriers pack up to place second

West Point had four runners finish in the top 10 to win a five-team girls cross country meet last Wednesday in Montross.

E. Diggs finished as the runner-up to lead the Pointers to a low 30 points for the win. Diggs ran the race in 24:25, more than two minutes behind individual medalist S. Baker of Middlesex, who ran 22:13.

Lancaster was second in team scoring with 55 points, edging Tidewater District’s Middlesex by a point. The Lady Chargers were third with 56 points, host Washington & Lee was fourth with 105 and Essex fifth with 130.
