LHS harriers post impressive times in the Big Cat 2021

Lancaster’s Hailey Smith led a field of 44 harriers as the individual medalist in the ‘girls varsity B’ race last Saturday at the Big Cat 2021, hosted by Bruton High School in Williamsburg.

Smith crossed the line with Isabel Balmaceda of West Springfield High School closing the gap. Smith ran the race in 20:44 and Balmaceda was the runner-up with a time of 20:48. West Springfield won the team race with five scorers in the top 10 for a low 29 points.

Chyra Boyd had the next best finish for Lancaster, running a 25:14 race for 19th place. Also scoring for the Lady Devils were….
