Matthew Kane won his second invitational to lead the Lancaster boys cross country team to a win in the varsity boys “B” race at Bruton High School’s Big Cat 2022 last Saturday.
All of Lancaster’s girls and boys turned in a personal bests at the Bruton course in Williamsburg.
“Continuous improvement over the season is a team goal and the improvement this week is impressive,” said LHS coach James Timm. “The women’s team improved an average of three minutes and 30 seconds per athlete. The men’s team improved an average of 54 seconds per runner. Every runner took a major step forward.”
Kane outpaced 68 runners to win the boys race….
