LHS on winning side of ‘close calls’

Lancaster won an overtime outing in Warsaw last Friday to cap a three-game week that opened and ended with close calls.

The Red Devils picked up three wins last week, including Northern Neck District victories over Northumberland and Rappahannock to improve to 4-0 in the district. Lancaster is 10-4 overall with five games remaining in regular season play. The Devils will travel to Washington & Lee Tuesday, January 28, and host Colonial Beach Friday, January 31. Regular season play ends for Lancaster February 14 against Essex.

So far, Mathews has been Lancaster’s biggest frustration in Region A play. The Blue Devils edged LHS in overtime two weeks ago then gave the Red Devils a run last Monday.
