Lancaster’s De’Avion Harding and Marcus Keeve raced each other to the finish line in the boys 500-meter last week to produce a Region 1A/2A indoor track champion and runner-up, and the Red Devils’ speedster Chris Dameron sprinted to a gold medal in the 55-meter.
LHS finished fourth in the boys meet with 56 points. Maggie Walker won the 2A championship with 185 points, Brunswick was second with 72 and Bruton third with 58. The meet was held at Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond.
Lancaster had five boys compete in seven of the 15 events.
