LHS tallies two varsity wins, 67-33, over Colonial Beach and 82-53, over Essex High School

Lancaster had already scored more than Colonial Beach’s total output at halftime on Friday, January 23, when the Red Devils whipped the Drifters, 67-33, in varsity boys basketball.

Lancaster jumped to a 41-18 lead after opening with a 16-3 run in the first quarter. The Devils got eight points from De’Avion Lucas in a 25-point second quarter. Lucas finished with 14 as one of three LHS players in double digits. The Devils got scoring from 11 different players in the balanced effort.

Antonio Tomlin led LHS with 15 points and Xavier Sutton added 11.

Zach Papanicolas did the heavy lifting for CBHS, leading all scorers with 17 points and scoring over half of his team’s total.

With the win, Lancaster improved to 7-6 overall.

The Devils also beat Essex….
