Lancaster High School ran away with a dual victory at West Point last Tuesday, winning both the boys and girls track and field meets.
The Lady Devils scored 164.5 points, outscoring runner-up King & Queen by an impressive 76.5 points. The Royal Tigers scored 88 points; third-place West Point, 80; fourth-place Mathews, 70.5; fifth-place St. Margaret’s School, 46.3; and sixth-place Richmond Christian, 13.6.
The LHS boys team scored 166 points for the team win. Host West Point was the runner-up with 140 points, while Mathews was third with 85; King & Queen, fifth, 60; and Richmond Christian, fifth, 7.
Girls meet
In the girls meet, Lizzy Woolard, Hailey Smith, Deja Brown and Lyric Pinn led Lancaster.
Woolard won the 800 meter in 2:41.10 and had two second-place finishes in field events. Woolard’s teammate Chyra Boyd was the runner-up in….
