The Northern Neck Sail and Power Squadron (NNSPS) will offer a Safe Boating Course from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 14 and 21 at the NNSPS Classroom, Chesapeake Commons, 453C North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
This course will qualify students for the Virginia boating education requirement and graduates will receive a Virginia Boating Education Card, said Ray Reuter.
This course is sponsored in part by the Cole Charitable Trust and the fee is $40 per student with lunch provided, said Reuter. The course is designed for the whole family and includes training in boat handling using a Boating Safety Virtual Trainer.
