CHESTERFIELD—Lillian T. Marsh, 81, of Chesterfield went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 12, 2022.
Mrs. Marsh attended Lancaster County High School in Kilmarnock and graduated from Longwood College in Farmville. She dedicated her career to serving as a special education teacher in Virginia. Although teaching was a strong passion, she spent her life devoted to God and her family. She will be remembered as a very loving wife and mother who showed immeasurable kindness and gentleness to all.
Mrs. Marsh was a dedicated member of Gospel Baptist Church on Turner Road in Richmond, where she served in several capacities, such as Sunday school teacher and vacation Bible school leader.
She is survived by her son, John C. Marsh IV of Virginia Beach and his wife, Judy Walker Marsh, his son, Noah, and daughter, Logan. Mrs. Marsh is also survived by her daughter, Janet Marsh Brey of Mint Hill, North Carolina, and her husband, pastor Larry C. Brey, and son, Corbin, and three daughters, Daelyn, Karsyn and Lenya. Additionally, Mrs. Marsh is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Marsh Idstrom, and her husband, Roger Idstrom, and sons, Dane and Logan of Brentwood, Tennessee. Lillian Marsh is survived by three siblings, Doris Metz of Mechanicsville, George Turner of Kilmarnock and Taylor Turner of Huntington, West Virginia.
A graveside celebration of Mrs. Marsh’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, at Lebanon Baptist Church in Lively. All funeral arrangements will be handled by Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock.
