LANCASTER—Lloyd Franklin Cooke Jr., 90, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017.
He was born on January 14, 1927. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mamie Parks Cooke; two sons, Allen Boyd Cooke (Charlotte) and Robert W. Cooke (Dorothy); eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one sister, Julia Powell.
Mr. Cooke was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Franklin Cooke; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at Monday, April 10, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Interment followed the service at Corrottoman Cemetery. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 9 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
