Local candidates slow to file for November ballot

KILMARNOCK—With less than a month to go until the June 20 deadline, many candidates have yet to complete required filings for the November 7 general election according to the registrars in Lancaster and Northumberland counties.

In addition to state senator and delegate, voters will choose soil and water board district directors, constitutional officers—Sheriff, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Commissioner of the Revenue and Treasurer—as well as some members of the board of supervisors and school board.

A special election also will be held in White Stone for the town council seats….
