Local pointers place first, second, third in Powhatan spring field trial

Jimmy Crandall of Kilmarnock managed an esteemed win Saturday, February 26, at the Powhatan Field Trial Club’s spring field trial in Dillwyn.

For the first time in nearly 40 years of competing, he won first, second and third place with his English pointers, besting a field of 14 dogs, reported Crandall.

First place was awarded to Jake, a very young albeit very talented….
