LANCASTER—Now that all absentee votes have been collected and counted, town council members Bonnie J. Schaschek and Gabe del Rio III, who both ran in a special election to fill an unexpired term, have tied for the seat.
When polls closed on Election Day, November 8, Schaschek led by a vote, 152-151. Following the absentee mail-in deadline of noon, November 14, they were deadlocked at 154 votes each.
