WARSAW—Marion Ellis Sanders, age 94 of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
She was born on November 22, 1930, in Richmond to her late parents, Walter Lee Ellis Sr. and Gladys Valentine Ellis. She was known for being a kind, sweet lady who was devoted to the Lord. She was a proud member at Cobham Park Baptist Church. Hardworking and determined, Marion worked for over 40 years in her family business, Sanders Tire.
Marion’s family was the light of her life. She is survived by her children, Aubrey Sanders (Linda) and Teresa Sanders Bush (Dexter); her four grandchildren, Stephanie Schefflien, Greg Sanders, Shannon Westman and Todd Bush; and her three great-grandchildren, Logan Schefflien, Kallie Bush and Oakley Bush. Her memory will live on in their hearts forever. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marion will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Aubrey Talmadge Sanders; her parents, Walter and Gladys; and her four brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service for Marion will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Cobham Park Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel.
