Marsh and Thompson place first in RPRC shotgun wobble match

The Rappahannock Pistol and Rifle Club conducted a shotgun wobble match Sunday, June 18, at the range on Blueberry Point Road near White Stone.

The match consisted of 13 shooters, shooting five shots, one single and two doubles from five different elevated stands, making a total of 25 shots, reported competition director Creed Fallin. Each shooter had to shoot two sets making it a total of 50 shots, with the winner hitting the most pigeons out of 50.

They were shooting clay pigeons being thrown from the mechanical launcher at different angles and elevations, said Fallin.

Dave Marsh placed first and Dave Tramutola, second. Guest shooter Rhett Loving placed third and member Keith Crandall placed third for club points. Tom Panther placed fourth and Tom Smith, fifth. Missy Thompson placed first in the lady’s class.
