Martha E. Lee

KILMARNOCK—Martha Ella Lee was born in Sharps to the late Baylor and Julia Rollins on October 15, 1934. On the morning of Tuesday, August 21, 2018, God saw the battle was getting too hard to bear and called her peacefully to her heavenly home.

At an early age, Martha accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Farnham, and in later years became a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Lively. She was a faithful member until her passing.

Martha was predeceased by her parents; husband; only sister, Emma Nutt of Philadelphia, Pa.; and grandson, Robert D. Pope of Kilmarnock.

Martha was employed for many years by the RCV Seafood Inc. in Morratico.

Martha was united in holy matrimony to the late Milton Lee Sr. This union was blessed with four children.

The motherly love that Martha shared remains in the hearts of her children, Diana Ross of Kilmarnock; Beatrice Pope (Robert) of Kilmarnock; Milton Lee Jr. (Josephine) of Richmond; and Darlene Carter (Booker) of Stafford; 12 grandchildren, Vivian, James, William, Brian, Kevin, Melvin, Rosalyn, Adrian, Ravyn, Diandra, Doreatha and Willie Jr.; 30 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; family and friends; and one whom she loved as a son, Tony Lee.
