REEDVILLE—Mary Ercelle Latimer Helms of Reedville died peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, in Kilmarnock. She was born May 7, 1925, in Southern Maryland and lived in Clinton, Md., until she and her husband, Vann, retired to Reedville.
Mary was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed cross stitching, cooking, entertaining, and being with friends and family. Perhaps her greatest pleasure was listening to and participating in anything that had to do with music.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Vann.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Day, Richard Czwartacki (Louise), Stephen Czwartacki (Lois), Donna Helms, Michael Helms (Tina), Jesse Helms (Bonnie) and Sylvia Bryant. She also is survived by many grandchildren and great-grand children in Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 21, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethany United Methodist Church in Reedville or the charity of one’s choice.
