KILMARNOCK—Mary Louise Fletcher Curry of Kilmarnock died December 29, 2021.
Mary was born October 29, 1943, in Bessemer, Ala., to the late Clemen Fletcher and the late Alice Fletcher. She attended public schools in Alabama.
She married at an early age and had two children, Cedric and Reggie Jones. She lived in Germany as a military wife.
She later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. She spent most of her career in sales.
In 1986, she married Steptoe Curry. After his retirement, they moved to Kilmarnock. She joined Calvary Baptist Church. having grown up in Kilmarnock, Steptoe Curry rejoined Calvary. They worked at Debonair Cleaners in Burgess.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Steptoe Curry; her son, Reggie Jones; and her parents, Clemen Fletcher and Alice Fletcher.
She is survived by her son, Cedric Jones; granddaughter, Trisha Jones; great-granddaughter, Cai’Leah Corbin; and sister, Lois Lightle.
A service was held at 11 a.m. April 9 at Calvary Baptist Church Memorial Cemetery.
