KILMARNOCK—Mary Lucille “Luci” York passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, with her husband, Tom York, at her side. She was 86 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years; two younger brothers, Charles and Steve Crain; several nephews; a niece; and extended family.
Luci was born on October 20, 1933, in McMinnville, Tenn., to Charles Fairbanks Crain Sr. and Annie Sue (Coppedge) Crain.
She traveled the world with Tom, living in Japan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia before settling in Kilmarnock after Tom’s retirement from the Navy. Turkey was her favorite.
She enjoyed volunteering with the Lancaster Community Library and Historyland and Community Workshop. She was a member of the White Stone Women’s Club and the Rivah Quilt Guild.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the organizations noted above. Services to be determined at a later date.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
