Master Gardeners provide produce, fruit to food bank

Carrots harvested from the demonstration garden are ready for transport to the Health Harvest Food Bank in Warsaw.

HORSEHEAD—The Northern Neck Master Gardeners (NNMG) maintain several different demonstration gardens throughout the Northern Neck. These gardens illustrate ideas, plant varieties and gardening techniques for various applications. 

One of these gardens is the Farm Museum Garden at the Northern Neck Farm Museum, 12705 Northumberland Highway, near Horsehead.

The Farm Museum Garden produces a variety of vegetables and fruits. During the growing season, the vegetables and fruits are delivered weekly to the Healthy Harvest Food Bank in Warsaw.
