Miriam Sisson recognized for winning Richard Henry Lee, SAR poster contest

Representatives from local Sons of the American Revolution chapters recently recognized Chesapeake Academy fifth grader Miriam Sisson for her first-place submission in the Virginia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (VASSAR) poster contest.

On April 21, Michael Rhodes, president of the Richard Henry Lee Chapter (RHLC), and Charles Belfield, president of the James Monroe Chapter (JMC) of the VASSAR, presented a monetary award to Sisson during an academic awards ceremony on the Irvington campus, reported Don Smith of the RHLC.

Sisson is the daughter of Michael and Courtney Sisson of Farnham.
