In partnership with the Shiloh School Astronomy Club, Belle Isle State Park will host a Moon Viewing Party from 8-9:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the Motor Boat Launch, Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster.
After a brief talk about the moon, attendees will be able to see the moon and other objects of interest in the night sky through astronomy-grade telescopes operated by experienced volunteers. This event is open to all, from experienced astronomers to beginners.
The Shiloh School Astronomy Club is sponsored by Northumberland Preservation Inc., which owns and manages Shiloh School.
“We always get a ‘Wow!’ reaction when people see the moon through a great telescope….
