Moose presiding officer encourages Lodge 2527 to keep up the good work

LITWALTON—Robert K. Funkey, 2024-25 chairman of the board for Moose International, visited Lancaster Lodge 2527 in Litwalton  on Thursday, August 22, as part of his statewide tour in Virginia.

Traveling with his wife Cathy, it is their goal to visit as many lodges in as many states as they can during his term as the Moose Fraternity’s chief presiding officer.

Funkey encouraged the members of Lodge 2527 to continue their efforts locally and through the organization to support children and seniors. The organization is responsible for operating Mooseheart  near Chicago, a 1,000-acre community and school for children in need, as well as Moosehaven, a 63-acre retirement community near Jacksonville, Fla.
