Moose presiding officer to visit Lancaster Lodge

Robert K. Funkey, chairman of the board for the Moose Fraternity, will speak at noon Thursday, August 22, at Lancaster County Lodge 2527, 2108 River Road, Litwalton, as part of his statewide tour in Virginia. The meet and greet is for members and guests.

Funkey was elected as the Moose Fraternity’s chief presiding officer on July 27 by The Moose delegates during the Fraternity’s 136th International Convention in New Orleans, La., reported Lodge 2527 administrator Julie Ransone.

The Moose organization, with its headquarters in Mooseheart, Ill., comprises nearly a million men and women in around 1,300 lodges across the U.S., Canada and Great Britain.

The organization is responsible for operating Mooseheart, a 1,000-acre community and school for children….
