Two local pastors, married to each other for 42 years, are retiring and relocating to North Carolina next month.
They are the Rev. Jim Moseley, who served Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Weems since 2018, and the Rev. Susan Moseley, who has served the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR) in White Stone, also for the last five years.
Their service and commitment to their faith communities were celebrated with a farewell reception at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury on Saturday, February 24. More than 130 church-goers gathered to say goodbye, reported Katherine Cassidy.
Jim Moseley, who has worked for 45 years in ministry with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., formally retired as the Campbell pastor last October. He then spent three months as the interim chaplain for RWC.
Susan Moseley’s last day at UUFR will be Sunday, March 3.
The couple is moving from White Stone to the western North Carolina town of Brevard.
They chose the area for proximity to their two married children….
