
Under the guidance of Lancaster Community Library teen center coordinator Kate McCarthy, the library teamed up with Kilmarnock Museum to hold “Tour the Museum Day” on Wednesday, July 5.
The two-hour event for children featured miniature horse cart rides, firetrucks, military vehicles, police cars and museum tours.
The children compared an antique fire engine originally from Brentwood, Md., and a newer model from Kilmarnock, reported museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn. They also monitored traffic speed through town on a police car radar and experienced the use of multiple military items and…..
