WARSAW—Nancy Marie Sherwood died on October 12, 2021.
She graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1966. After receiving a bachelor’s from George Washington University (Phi Beta Kappa) she earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971.
She worked as a loan officer at Franklin National Bank in Manhattan until 1974 when she joined IBM Corporation in East Fishkill, New York. Her career at IBM spanned 39 years.
Her 18-year marriage to Thomas Storey ended in 1989. Nancy married Hugh C. O’Bier in 1992.
She was predeceased by her parents, Russell E. Sherwood Jr. and Bernice Wendt Sherwood; her husband, Hugh O’Bier; her brother, Ted N. Sherwood; and her sister, Betta Sherwood Sarkhosh.
Surviving are nieces and nephews too numerous to list. Cause of death was from small cell lung cancer. Nancy chose for her ashes to be buried at sea without formal service.
