James E. Scott

KING GEORGE—James Edward “Jimbo” Scott died October 6, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.

He was born on December 27, 1945, to the late Mamie Brown and Lloyd Scott.

He was educated through the Ralph Bunch School and employed in the logging industry until he retired in 2009.

James is survived by his wife, Ethel Louise Scott; brother, William Scott, four sons, James S. Scott, Tony Scott, Timmy Davis and Tony Davis; three daughters, Norma Campbell, Tracey Howard and Angela Allen; nine granddaughters, Aisha, Crystal, Taylynn, Toni, Sharmaine, Bridgette, Jovonna, Nylah and Faith; 10 grandsons, Cortez, Boogie, Trayvon, Tony, Timmy, Derrick, Lil Tony, Martice and Rahmir; nine great-grandkids, Alayna, Kimora, Amora, Nielle, Layne III, Amari, Amajae, Nikko and King.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Scott; father, Lloyd Scott; sons, Eric Scott and James Anthony Scott; and brothers, Floyd Scott and Wesley Scott.

A service was held Saturday, October 16, at King George Middle School in King George.
