Just as soil, sunlight and time come together to create beautiful blooms, Tabbs Creek Flower Farm is the result of a book, a property and a gathering of family and friends.
“It was synchronicity. It all hit at the right time,” said Mary Call, the visionary behind the farm. A few years back, she had read the book Cool Flowers by Lisa Mason Ziegler and “was having these conversations about growing. I was intrigued by propagation and cultivation.”
But while she “loved being outside,” she “never thought about a farm. Never ever.” That is until her husband, Bob Call, asked her to take a look at a property on Tabbs Creek in White Stone. Add in hardworking friends and family—including a horticulturist—and the idea germinated into….
