Nell K. Casto

KILMARNOCK—Nell King Casto, 73, of Kilmarnock passed away April 13, 2021.

She was born in Haynesville, the daughter of the late John B. and Catherine D. King. She was a member of White Stone United Methodist Church.

Nell retired after 40 years as a teacher with Lancaster County Public Schools.

She is survived by her niece, Catherine V. Wright-Mullis (Rick Mullis); five great-nieces and great-nephews and their spouses, Brandi W. and Cliff Blackwood, Dwayne P. Wright, Amber W. and Robert Umphlette, Aaron S. and Sharon Wright and Corrie V. Wright; great-great nieces and nephews, Travis, Carolann and Nathan Blackwood, Mariah, Brandon and Erin Wright, Alexander Howard and Charlie Reagan.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at White Stone United Methodist Church, White Stone. Interment followed the service at Totuskey Baptist Church Cemetery, 637 Totuskey Church Road, Warsaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 333, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 1295, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; or or a local charity of your choice.

Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
