NNK250 series to present “The Virginia Declaration of Rights at 250”

The NNK250 Signature Speaker Series will continue at 2 p.m. March 15 at the Edith Jenkins Bayne Center at Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.

Dr. Daniel L. Dreisbach, professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., will discuss “The Virginia Declaration of Rights at 250,” reported Northern Neck Planning District Commission economic development and tourism coordinator Lisa Hull.

The Virginia Declaration of Rights, adopted unanimously by Virginia’s Fifth Convention on June 12, 1776, is a seminal, post-colonial state paper affirming republican principles, limited government and humankind’s natural rights.
