NNK250 Signature Speaker Series will conclude on June 14

The 2026 NNK250 Signature Speaker Series will conclude at 2 p.m. June 14 at the historic Log House that is rarely open to the public at George Washington Birthplace National Monument, 1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach.

Dr. Kathleen Bartoloni-Tuazon will explore one of the earliest and most revealing debates in American history—the 1789 controversy over the president’s title, reported Northern Neck Planning District Commission economic development and tourism coordinator Lisa Hull.

Drawing from her book For Fear of an Elective King, she will uncover why Congress and the public fiercely argued over whether George Washington should be addressed as….
