If you’ve ever feared driving across the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge that connects Lancaster and Middlesex counties, Jason Kissinger of Gloucester has the t-shirt for you.
Kissinger will sell his bridge-themed shirts, car magnets, post cards, posters and paperweights at the Kilmarnock Museum, 76 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. Although many people have real anxiety about crossing the bridge, Kissinger said his wares poke a little fun at driving over the 61-year-old structure.
“I was inspired by the fact that I know so many people who are terrified of it and that have family members who refuse to drive across it,” said Kissinger. “My mom made a comment one day that it was like a scary ride. That reminded me of the t-shirts you’d get at an amusement park about surviving the Loch Ness Monster or some other roller coaster.”
Kissinger has designed shirts, magnets, post cards and other items that read “I Survived! The Norris Bridge” and “You Can’t Scare Me. I Drive The Norris Bridge.”
The items include a sketch of the bridge, looking a little ominous…
