Route 3 traffic between Lancaster and Middlesex counties will be blocked at both sides of the bridge for approximately an hour to allow crews to repair concrete deterioration
FREDERICKSBURG—The Robert O. Norris Bridge between Lancaster and Middlesex counties over the Rappahannock River will close for the next hour for emergency repair.
The alert was issued at 4:20 p.m. Friday, April 6.
Crews will remove several patches of deteriorated concrete from the bridge’s travel surface near the center spans of the bridge and replace it with fresh concrete.
All Route 3 traffic will be blocked on both sides of the bridge for approximately an hour for the safety of motorists and work crews.
