NORTH WEEMS—Longtime residents bid farewell to a chunk of their heritage on September 18 when the iconic JJ Kellum’s Country Store building on John’s Neck Road was demolished.
The building has been a part of the North Weems landscape since 1901 when it was built by William I. Kellum. It remained open until 2017, said Kellum’s grandson, Tommy Kellum.
