On February 11, seven members of the Northern Neck Stripers traveled to Richmond to compete in the David Gregg III Memorial Swim Meet.
While usually an annual event, COVID-19 prevented the running of this meet the past two years so the swimmers were particularly excited to attend this year, reported Charlotte Hollings.
The team garnered six third-place finishes, four second-place finishes and seven individual first-place finishes as well as a first-place relay with Michele Faulkner, Molly Broderson, Phoebe Mix and Alison Sowers.
Sowers had only started swimming with the team three weeks prior….
