HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, November 15, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
Jennifer L. Creeth of Reedville pleaded not guilty to malicious assault resulting in an injured victim. The court found sufficient evidence that Creeth was guilty of the charge and filed a pre-sentence order and a deferred disposition. Sentencing is scheduled for March 7, 2023.
In the case of Michael S. Kappel of Heathsville, charged with two counts of obtaining over $1000 under false pretenses, grand larceny valued over $1000 that was not personal property, and construction fraud of over $1000 in the form of advanced pay, a status hearing was continued to January 31….
