HEATHSVILLE— The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, June 16, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Desmond L. Lee of Farnham, charged with six counts of manufacturing/distributing Schedule I/II drugs, his third or more offense, a status hearing was continued to September 8.
In the case of Johnny M. Smithart of Heathsville, charged with three counts of rape of a spouse by force, forcible sodomy of a spouse and sexual penetration with an object to his spouse, a mental examination hearing was set for September 15. Smithart also is charged with two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
