HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, January 8, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
A hearing on the case of Clifton B. Tomlin of Burgess, who entered a plea of nolo contendere to three felonies including one count of petit larceny, one count for manufacturing a controlled substance, and one count for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, was continued to January 15.
Lillian M. Katz of Reedville, charged with one misdemeanor count of assault and battery and three felonies including one count of abduction by force or intimidation, one count of credit card fraud, and one count of malicious wounding, was sentenced to six years in prison.
The trial of Russell G. Ball of Farnham, charged with three misdemeanors including two counts of obstructing justice through threats or force and one count of trespassing after being forbidden, was continued…
