HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, April 23, with Judge R. Michael McKenney presiding.

The trial of Nickolas V. Chinn of Heathsville, charged with two felonies including one count for entering a house to commit assault and battery and one count for larceny of a firearm not from the owner’s person, was set for April 30.

Chinn also is charged with one misdemeanor count of destruction of property. A trial on that charge is set for July 9. No indictment was presented on 15 other felony charges against Chinn for larceny of a firearm not from the owner’s person.

The trial of Helen D. Conaway of Heathsville, charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, was set for August 6.

Christopher L. Goins of Mollusk pleaded guilty to four felonies including one count for possession of a controlled substance, one count for the sale of marijuana, one count of possession of a gun with a Schedule I or II drug, and one count for eluding police on a felony charge. Goins was sentenced to nine months and three weeks in prison.

The trial of Haley B. Hayden of Callao, charged with felony credit card larceny and misdemeanor credit card fraud, was continued to May 7.

The case of William W. Morrisette of Urbanna, charged with a felony for failure to perform promise of construction, was continued to July 30.

Bond was granted in the case of Brandon E. Turner of Heathsville, charged with felony abduction by force or intimidation and five misdemeanors including one count for violating a protective order, three counts for destruction of property, and one count for assault and battery of a family member. Turner’s trial was set for May 28.

The case of Jermaine M. Ball of Heathsville, charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance, was continued to April 30.

Bond was granted in the case of Keith J. Chainam of Suffolk, charged with five felony counts for manufacturing controlled substances. Chainam’s trial was set for July 30.

The case of Alicia S. Darby of Tappahannock, charged with one felony for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, was continued to May 28. A status hearing on three other charges against Darby including one count for possession of a controlled substance, one count for violating her probation, and one count for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, also was continued to May 28.

Dontay N. Davis of Heathsville, charged with two felonies including one count of violating his probation on a felony offense and one for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, could not be found to be served. Davis’s trial was set for July 23.

The trial of Delonte M. Johnson of Farnham, charged with 11 felonies including four counts revoking his pretrial release, one count for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, five counts for manufacturing controlled substances, and one count for the sale of marijuana, was continued to July 23.

Lacey R. Michalak of Warsaw, charged with three felonies including one count revoking her pretrial release, one count for failing to appear in court on a felony offense, and one count for the sale of a Schedule III drug, could not be found to be served. Michalak’s trial was set for July 23.

Nicholas L. Turner of Callao, charged with two felonies for violating his good behavior, could not be found to be served. Turner’s trial was set for July 23.

The trial of Olivia R. Yarborough of Burgess, charged with three felonies for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to August 20.

The trial of Wilbur R. Conaway of Wicomico Church, charged with two felonies for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to May 28.

The case of Orville H. King of Weems, charged with one felony for involuntary manslaughter, was dismissed by the court.

The trial of Philip D. White of Reedville, charged with driving while intoxicated, was continued to May 28.

The prosecution filed a nolle prosequi in the case of Richard E. Sandy of Reedville, charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

A review of the case of Kimberly L. Adams of Hague, charged with two felonies including one count for embezzlement and one count for failing to appear in court on a felony, was continued to July 23.

A review of the case of Bernard C. Anderson of Burgess, charged with the unauthorized use of a vehicle, was continued to October 22.

A review of the case of Kirk L. Lampkin of Burgess, charged with two misdemeanors including one count for violating his probation and one count for contempt of court, was continued to May 28.

A review of the case of Duane M. Peel of Callao, charged with felony sale of controlled substances, was continued to July 23.

A review of the case of Devon N. Robinson of Heathsville, charged with one felony and one misdemeanor for violating his probation, was continued to October 22.

A review of the case of Brandy D. Thompson of Callao, charged with two felonies for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to July 23.

Larry W. Byiers of Callao, charged with two felonies including one count for aggravated sexual battery of a victim less than 13 years old and one count for forcible sodomy, was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the court.

The case of Christopher M. Brooks of Alexandria, charged with one misdemeanor for reckless driving, was dismissed by the court.

The trial of Willie P. Keyser of Weems, charged with eight felonies including three counts of manufacturing controlled substances and five counts for selling drugs on or near a school or library, in addition to three misdemeanors for selling marijuana, was continued to June 4.

The trial of Lisa M. White, of Hague, charged with felony selling imitation controlled substances, was continued to June 4.

The trial of Andrew W. Yoho of Richmond, charged with two felony counts for violating his probation, was continued to June 11.

Robert N. Bibbens of Hague pleaded guilty to felony grand larceny and was sentenced to serve one year and two months in prison.
