HEATHSVILE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened March 31 with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.

A status hearing in the case of Donte J. Carter of Heathsville, charged with two misdemeanors including one count for violating a protective order against him and one count for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge, was continued to May 26.

The case of Kirk D. Lee of Reedville, charged with one felony for possession of a controlled substance, was continued generally by the court. The trial of two other felony charges against Lee including one count for failing to appear in court and one count for violating his probation was set for June 9.

The case of Justin J. Stevens of Seaford, charged with one misdemeanor for failing to carry a license while hunting, fishing, or trapping, was continued generally by the court.

A hearing in the case of Wilbur R. Conaway of Wicomico Church, who pleaded guilty to two felonies for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to May 28.

The trial of Amanda F. Harper of Lancaster, charged with three felonies including one count for possession of a controlled substance, one count for child abuse resulting in serious injury, and two counts for violating her probation, was set for May 26.

The disposition of Barbara A. Hinton of Elkins, W.Va., was continued to March 28.

The trial of Sheldon P. Cox of Heathsville, charged with two felonies for violating his probation, was continued to June 16.

The trial of Keywon M. Gaskins of Heathsville, charged with two felonies for violating his probation, was continued to March 28.

The trial of Charles E. Johnson of Elliot City, Md., charged with one felony for violating his probation, was continued to June 16.

The trial of Delonte M. Johnson of Farnham, charged with 17 felonies including five counts for manufacturing controlled substances, 10 counts revoking his pretrial release, and one count for failing to appear in court on a felony charge, was continued to June 16.

The case of Bennie T. Lee of Reedville, charged with two felonies including one count for strangulation resulting in wounds or injury, one count revoking his pretrial release, in addition to two misdemeanor charges for assault and battery, was continued to March 21.
