HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened September 17, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.

Bond was denied in the case of James B. Burt of Heathsville, charged with two felonies for violating his probation on felony offenses for child solicitation and indecent rape of a child. Burt’s trial is scheduled to begin November 5.

The case of Johnathan F. Mitchell of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating his probation on a felony offense, was continued to September 24.

Bond was granted in the case of Charles L. Elmore of Richmond, charged with one felony for manufacturing a controlled substance. Elmore’s trial is scheduled to begin December 10.

The disposition of Joyce A. Ball of Montross, charged with two felonies including one count for child abuse and one count for manufacturing a controlled substance, was deferred to April 28.

Ursula N. Scott of Tappahannock entered a plea of nolo contendere to two felony charges for manufacturing controlled substances and her case was dismissed.

Lakeisha M. Hickman of Callao entered a plea of nolo contendere to two felony charges including one count for manufacturing a controlled substance and one count for child abuse. Her disposition is scheduled for September 22. The prosecution filed a nolle prosequi regarding 10 other felony charges against Hickman including five for manufacturing controlled substances and five for child abuse.

The trial of Charles A. Johnson of Haynesville, charged with three felonies including two counts for manufacturing controlled substances and one revoking his pretrial release on a felony charge, was continued to October 8.

The trial of Hayes J. Johnson of Lancaster, charged with one felony for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to December 17.

Wayne C. Robinson of Burgess pleaded guilty to two felony charges for the sale of marijuana and his license was suspended by the court for six months.

The trial of Karee L. Sutton of Lancaster, charged with one felony for manufacturing a controlled substance, was continued to December 17.

The trial of Ryan O. Wilson of Montross, charged with three felonies for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to October 8.
