HEATHSVILLE—Citing resident concerns arising from the recent approval of a monopole cell tower in Callao, supervisors asked the planning commission to take a look at related land use ordinances.
The commission on Thursday, May 21, discussed the creation of an ordinance specifically related to telecommunication towers. Current county code makes poles and towers 100 feet or less in height a permitted use in all zoning districts. Anything taller requires a conditional use permit (CUP).
