CLARAVILLE—The Northumberland County School Board recently recognized the Teachers of the Year for 2024.
Katelyn Orem was recognized as NHS Teacher of the Year. Orem has taught biology, oceanography, earth science and environmental science during her time at Northumberland and is currently the science department chair.
Tiffany Rombold was recognized as NMS Teacher of the Year. In addition to serving the middle school as a counselor, Rombold has coached and sponsored several teams and activities, including varsity sideline and competition cheer, junior varsity softball, competition theatre, Gifted-Thinkers and yearbook. She also co-chairs cancer awareness events.
Amy Saville was recognized as NES Teacher of the Year. A first grade teacher, she also serves on the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) committee.
