CLARAVILLE—No members of the community came to speak at the first public hearing on the Northumberland public school 2020-21 budget. However, the school board received input on the budget from an ongoing online survey of both teachers and community members.
So far, 17 people have responded to the survey and have provided a total of 26 requests, said clerk Donna Booth. These requests include eight related to adding personnel, such as a guidance counselor, mental health counselor, social worker, speech pathologist and elementary school technology teacher.
