Northumberland school board legal expenses come in under budget

LOTTSBURG—Lingering issues over school board spending on legal fees was put to rest Monday night. The final tally shows the board spent under the budgeted figure of $42,000 in fiscal year 2017.

District 3 member Gerald Howard brought up the issue last fall, claiming abuses in contacting the board attorney.

However, according to records presented by finance director Donna Booth, spending in that category was $41,000.
