HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County School Board on Thursday, May 8, voted 3-2 to remove superintendent Dr. Holly Wargo without cause effective immediately.
On the heels of a tumultuous year with the school board’s finances in shambles, superintendent Wargo was removed from her position as a starting point for the board to “move forward,” said school board member Dr. David Curran.
Following a closed session, board member Dr. Cheryl Davis moved to terminate Wargo without cause effective immediately. Curran seconded the motion.
