Three Northumberland students recently received awards for Future Problem Solving of Virginia (FPS).
Reagan Brent excelled in the state’s first virtual bowl, winning the 2020 Wythe Medallion, according to coach Michele Jennings. Students competed by computer from their homes.
Abby Jennings and Layla Leo were recognized for work in the 2021 state bowl. A. Jennings placed second in the 2021 senior individual competition and fourth in the senior division scenario writing. Leo placed second in the middle division scenario writing competition.
