HEATHSVILLE—Although there was no direct talk of the proposed $53.4 million budget and $0.14 real estate tax increase during their Thursday, June 8, meeting, Northumberland supervisors did address county finances in discussions regarding the school budget, seeking other sources of revenue, and looking to build transparency in county operations.

Responding to a board request for clarification, Northumberland County Public Schools finance director Tara Booth provided details regarding a construction grant.
