HEATHSVILLE—As they did in July 2025, Northumberland supervisors on Monday, August 24, unanimously approved a $5 million revenue anticipation note (RAN) to help with cash flow from August until October when real estate and personal property tax payments start coming in.
Treasurer Pam King said the county has $3.8 million on hand, but also has $1.5 million in payroll coming out by the end of the week, leaving a balance of just $2.3 million to last until tax collection begins.
